In the next round of improvements to 51Degrees, we’ve updated our data file release schedule.
51Degrees Version 4 data files are now released Monday to Friday, and this has been in effect since Friday 30 June 2023. Version 3 data files follow the previous Monday to Thursday release schedule.
If you have automatic data file updates enabled, or use our cloud service, there are no further actions for you. However, if you download the data file manually each day, you can now download on Friday as well.
On the rare occasions when a major device, browser, or operating system version was released later in the week, it wouldn't appear in the data file until the Monday after. By adding an additional day to the data file schedule, it reduces the delay detecting these new releases.
We continually improve our service following feedback from customers: last month we released an upgrade to our predictive algorithm to more accurately detect new build versions of browsers and operating systems.
